Visa Application Centres

UK visas and the British High Commission are working with Gerry's International to deliver the UK visa application service in Pakistan. Now you can apply at any Visa Application Centre (VAC) located at Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Mirpur. Visa Application Forms (VAF) are available free of charge from any VAC during working hours.

Gerry's International operates the Visa Application Centres (VACs) on behalf of UK visas. Staff at the Visa Application Centres accept applications and forward them to the British High Commission for consideration.

Change in UK Visa Policy

BHC Islamabad had announced the change in its UK visa application process with the following instructions

  • Degree Attestation

This change is due to verify the academic record of the student. This change in policy is valid from 07-02-2007. Now the BHC will itself verify the graduate to master level degrees like BA, MA, etc and while the other inter level diplomas, certificates and other transcript witll check from the boards whom issue the transcript.

  • Biometric Finger Scanning

This change in visa policy is valid from 05-03-2007 for all applicants who wants to go in UK. Its already in place in over 60 countries of the world. It is design to make it more difficult for individuals to hode their true identities in an attempt to escape detection or enter the UK illegally. It will also protect the genuine visitors to the UK, because it makes it virtually impossible for anyone else to claim their identity should their visa is stolen or duplicated. All applicants will now also be required to go in person to the BHC Islamabad. This change is not valid visa stamped candidates but not traveled to UK.

  • TB Screening Certificate

This change in visa policy is valid from 05-03-2007 for all those applicants intending to visit UK for a period in excess of six months will also be required to visit a designated clinics operated by IOM to undergo TB Testing before applying for their visa. If this test is confirms that the applicant is clear to infectious TB, a certificate will be issued and applicant may lodge their applications at their nearest Gerry's/FedEx office. If, however, they are found to be suffering from infectious TB, they will be advised for full treatment. There are five approved centers for TB Testing and in Lahore is Cardex Clinic Jail Road Lahore. Fee for this TB Test is Rs:3000.
